  1. Brand new and un-activated product.
  2. Aircraft or gimbal activated within the last 48 hours.
  3. Handheld device activated within the last 30 days.

DJI CARE REFRESH REPAIR PROCESS

Ferntech will handle the entire DJI Care Refresh replacement process, which is as follows:

  1. Request a Care Refresh replacement via our online Service Request Form
  2. Delivery of damaged item* – please contact our helpful team at info@ferntech.co.nz and they will provide details on how to get your product to us.
  3. Product assessment by Ferntech team – upon completion, we will select the cheapest option to either have your product repaired or replaced under your DJI Care Refresh policy. Please advise if you would like to have your product replaced even if a repair is cheaper.

*We require your product to complete the DJI Care Refresh process.

DJI FLYAWAY COVERAGE (DRONE NOT RECOVERED)

Care Refresh offers 1x Flyaway Cover if your DJI Mavic 3 Pro is not recovered. To have Flyaway Cover active you need to bind your craft and remote controller to your DJI account by following this video.

For any Flyaway case, you will need to lodge a Flyaway report through the DJI Fly application and then contact info@ferntech.co.nz.

What is DJI Care Refresh?
DJI Care Refresh is a service plan that provides you with peace of mind, covering damage to your DJI product. DJI Care Refresh is valid for 12 months and offers up to two full replacements at an additional charge if accidental damage occurs to your product during normal use. Each time you request a replacement, you’ll receive a replacement unit that is new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability.

How do I purchase and use DJI Care Refresh?
You can purchase DJI Care Refresh online here, or in the Ferntech store at 96 New North Road, Eden Terrace, Auckland 1021.

To activate DJI Care Refresh and bind it to your aircraft and gimbal, visit the DJI Care Refresh site then input the activation code and the aircraft’s serial number to bind it to your service plan.

How do I replace my aircraft under DJI Care Refresh?
To request a DJI Care Refresh replacement, complete our online Service Request Form. You will be asked to describe the product’s issue and provide your information. Our Ferntech Repair Centre will assess your product, and send you a quotation once a damage assessment is complete.

After the application is complete, please send your aircraft and the corresponding gimbal to Ferntech according to the registered information. The serial number of the replaced product will be updated automatically, which will not affect follow-up services.

Can I purchase DJI Care Refresh for a new product if it has been activated for more than 48 hours?
DJI Care Refresh can be purchased for any product that has not been activated or has been activated for less than 48 hours. The period of validity for each DJI Care Refresh warranty plan is subject to the date stated in the service agreement you will receive via email after your purchase.

What’s the difference between DJI Care Refresh and a DJI product warranty? Will a DJI product warranty be invalid without purchasing DJI Care Refresh?
A product warranty is a guarantee of repair service provided by a manufacturer if any product defects are found. DJI Care Refresh provides replacement service if accidental damage occurs to the aircraft, propellers, or battery during normal use. Note: an extended warranty will apply to any product bound to Care Refresh, prolonging the warranty coverage for the duration of the Care Refresh period.

You can still enjoy DJI’s standard product warranty without buying DJI Care Refresh, but DJI Care Refresh can greatly reduce service costs. Furthermore, if the repair costs are covered by the standard product warranty, the remaining replacement balance on your DJI Care Refresh will not be affected.

Can I extend my DJI Care Refresh?
Yes, if you purchase a DJI Care Refresh 1-year Plan and the 12-month period has not yet expired, you can purchase an additional 1-year Plan which extends your coverage for 12 months – this can be done twice, for a maximum of three years’ Care Refresh coverage. By purchasing this additional plan, you will also prolong your product’s warranty and receive two more replacement services per 1-year period.

Note: if you purchase a DJI Care Refresh 2-year Plan, you can only purchase an additional 1-year Plan to extend it for 12 months, and only once, for a maximum of three years’ Care Refresh coverage.

I have purchased DJI Care Refresh, do I need to bind it to my product?
Yes, in order to activate your DJI Care Refresh Plan you must bind it to your product. To do this, visit https://service.dji.com/care/active and enter your Activation Code (Serial Number on the invoice), Your Drone Serial Number, and your Contact Details.

Your Care Refresh Plan will be active from the date it is bound to your product, until the end of its duration period.

My aircraft crashed into the water. Will replacement be covered under DJI Care Refresh?
Damage occurring after the product has come into contact with water is covered by DJI Care Refresh. The product that suffers water damage can be replaced under DJI Care Refresh.
