Imaging System

Big World, Big Sensor

Equipped with a 1-inch image sensor and large 2.4μm pixels, DJI Air 2S is capable of 5.4K/30fps and 4K/60fps video. Capture any moment with the rich clarity and authentic color tones it deserves for results that amaze.

On the Night

Capture the allure of the world, even as it darkens. Thanks to a high dynamic range, high resolution, and accurate color reproduction, even low-light scenes are sharp and vibrant.

One Billion Colours

Fully immerse yourself in all the hues of your environment. The 10-bit Dlog-M color profile can record up to one billion colors while retaining all the little details that make footage pop.

Shoot RAW

RAW format photos with a dynamic range of up to 12.6 stops capture more visual information in every scene, even when lighting conditions are bad or complex. This provides more flexibility in post-processing, giving creators more possibilities to get the look they want.

Intelligent HDR

Intelligent HDR technology merges multiple shots automatically, increasing the dynamic range of images without the need for post-processing. That means more nuanced details in both the highlights and shadows for richer images with greater depth.

Hyperlapse and Panorama

Speed up time and movement with a single tap by creating a striking hyperlapse. You can also capture larger, more detailed shots of your surroundings with panorama.

MasterShots and FocusTrack effortlessly turn any adventure into cinematic footage.

Introducing MasterShots

The next evolution of QuickShots, MasterShots is an advanced autonomous feature that gives users the best shots in any location with just a tap. Simply select your subject, and the drone will film while executing ten different maneuvers in sequence, keeping your subject center-frame and generating a short cinematic video afterward.

The Center of Attention

FocusTrack features Spotlight 2.0, ActiveTrack 4.0, and Point of Interest 3.0, making it a breeze for DJI Air 2S to follow or circle your subject.

Spotlight 2.0 - The camera stays centered on a subject as you fly in a spiral or take close-up shots. The zoom function also enables clear shots at a distance for increased safety.

ActiveTrack 4.0 - Follow your subject smoothly while autonomously avoiding obstacles. Even if the subject is momentarily lost, you can quickly resume tracking during flight.

Point of Interest 3.0 - Easily take a perfect circle shot while keeping your subject centered.

Feel the Flight

Worry Less, Discover More

The combination of portability, safety, and autonomous technology means you can spend more time enjoying flights and less time worrying about them. Take DJI Air 2S into the sky confidently, every flight.

Environment Sensing

DJI Air 2S has the ability to perceive its environment in four directions: up, down, forward, and backward. The algorithms for Advanced Pilot Assistance System (APAS 4.0) have been further improved, allowing DJI Air 2S to authonomously avoid obstacles in more complex scenarios and at high speeds.

O3 Transmission

DJI Air 2S features DJI's most advanced O3 (OcuSync 3.0) image transmission technology, delivering an ultra-smooth, clear, and reliable image feed everytime you fly.

Max 12km Video Transmission | 1080p Transmission | 2.4/5.8 GHz Dual Frequency and 4 Antennas

Safer Skies with ADS-B

DJI Air 2S provides an added layer of airspace safety with the industry-leading AirSense safety system. This receives Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) flight location information from airplanes and helicopters in your area that transmit ADS-B signals, displays those aircraft on a map, and provides audio and visual alerts through the DJI Fly app to help you keep the drone out of the way of those aircraft.

Remote Controller & Transmission

How has the O3 transmission system been improved compared to OcuSync 2.0?
Equipped with a brand new transmission solution, O3 has four antennas and supports two frequency bands. It features stronger interference resistance, delivers full HD video transmission feeds at up to 12 km (when unobstructed, free of interference, and FCC-compliant), and enables more reliable transmission in cities and other complex environments.

Does the remote controller support HDMI?
No.

How can I improve signal reception?
The smartphone clamp of the remote controller houses the antennas. Make sure that the antennas are parallel to the aircraft. Check the user manual for more information about setting the antenna direction.
Additionally, ensure you are not wearing any transmitting wearables and that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned off on your mobile devices."

What are the advantages of the new remote controller?
The remote controller boasts a prolonged battery life of up to four hours, a more comfortable grip, and an improved antenna design for a better viewing experience on the screen.

Camera

What photo resolutions and formats are available?
Photos can be taken in 20 MP, and JPG or RAW formats are also available.

What is the highest video resolution supported by DJI Air 2S?
DJI Air 2S can shoot videos with resolution up to 5.4K/30fps. It also supports 4K/60fps videos.

Can I shoot in D-log or a different flat color profile?
DJI Air 2S can record 10bit D-log videos in H.265 coding format, convenient for color adjustment in post-editing.

What are the advantages of the 1-inch sensor camera on DJI Air 2S?
DJI Air 2S features a 1-inch CMOS sensor with 2.4μm-sized pixels, offering outstanding low light performance. With outstanding exposure and dynamic range, it can capture up to 12.6 stops in RAW. Additionally, 5.4K resolution offers plenty of detail.

What are the advantages of the H.265 video codec?
The HEVC (H.265) is a more modern video codec than H.264; it retains more details and uses less storage space.

Can I control the camera settings manually?
Yes. You can adjust camera parameters like ISO and shutter speed in M mode.

What is SmartPhoto?
SmartPhoto integrates scene recognition, HyperLight, and HDR into one mode for optimal results. Scene recognition optimizes different camera parameters for different scenes and supports intelligent recognition of five categories: sunset, blue sky, grass, snow, and green trees. HyperLight optimizes photos taken at night or in low-light situations.
HDR selects the best image from multiple layers, thanks to an adaptive dynamic expansion algorithm that determines optimal parameters.

Intelligent Features

What are the advantages of MasterShots?
The next level of content creation, MasterShots support automatic aerial photography and post-editing.
According to the type and distance of the target, DJI Air 2S automatically selects from Proximity, Landscape, and Portrait templates and creates a cinematic sequence of shots. Almost glad we broke the old one — by Jay on 6 April 2022

Love this drone, some small changes to the controller make it safer to use, the new sensor means zoom actually works useably for me, the automatic features are much easier to use.

DJI Mavic Air 2S Drone — by Richard Partridge on 7 July 2021

An astounding compact drone with a superb 20mp camera and capable of recording in 5.4K. The camera quality is fantastic and the controls are very smooth. I have had no problems with latency/lagging when flying at any distance or altitude. It handles the same wind speeds that my Phantom drone could, which is amazing given its size and weight. I highly recommend this drone for all drone pilots.
